Who is your lighthouse?

View of Point Bonita Lighthouse in Marin Headlands. ISO 800. Focal Length 135mm. Aperture f/4.5. Shutterspeed: 1/160th of a second. Lens: Vario-Elmar TL 3.5-4.5 55-140 Camera: Leica TL2. Edited with my custom color preset.

According to Wikipedia, “a Lighthouse is a tower, building, or other type of structure designed to emit light from a system of lamps and lenses” and “mark dangerous coastlines, hazardous shoals, reefs, rocks and safe entries to harbors.” I believe we all need a lighthouse in our life — who can be there for us, and helping us through thick and thin. They bear the brunt of the worst life can throw at them so that we can be better. I know I have a few people like that who have been immensely helpful to me — and that includes my baby sister. Who is your lighthouse? Have you thanked them enough for being there? If not, pick up the phone and give them a call. Or better yet, go have coffee with them
