It is so strange that I have lived in California for more than 15 years and I have never been to Muir Woods. So one day I was feeling too anxious at work — we all do sometimes — and my friend Mark Kawano thought it would be a good idea to grab our cameras and walk among the woods which have been there long before us and will be there long after us to get some perspective.
Twitter, Facebook, and Internet might have sped up time for us, but these giant trees show that things move on a scale that is much grander. What we think is now, is just a forgotten dot in the grand scheme of things. That was was great therapy, and there were some awesome images along the way — I think. I am shooting mostly film now and use iPhoneX for more casual photos.
This is a series of pictures from that visit and it also shows off the awesomeness of iPhoneX camera.
